'My Life With the Walter Boys' Season 3 Ends on Cliffhangers

Netflix's 'My Life with the Walter Boys' season 3 ends with Cole's fate unknown and a new kiss, ahead of a confirmed season 4.

'My Life With the Walter Boys' Season 3 Ends on Cliffhangers

Netflix premiered the third season of "My Life with the Walter Boys" on August 6, and the show has already been confirmed for a fourth season. The new episodes end without resolving the show's central love triangle, and instead add a fourth person to the mix while leaving several other storylines hanging.

Cole's crash

Cole breaks up with Jackie, convinced she deserves a better future than he can offer, and throws himself into increasingly dangerous car racing. When Jackie writes to thank him for helping get the new community center's opening off the ground, Cole abandons the race he's in the middle of to go see her.

There has been more than one unexpected kiss

Danvers Stacey, one of his rivals, refuses to let him leave the competition after Cole had already given it up. A chase begins and ends the worst way possible, with Danvers ramming Cole's car and sending it off the road, where it rolls several times. Season 3 ends right there, with Cole's condition unknown, leaving his survival as the biggest open question heading into the already confirmed fourth season.

A fourth person joins the triangle

At the community center's opening party, Jackie decides to enjoy the night without thinking about Cole, and ends up dancing with her childhood friend Eliot, who kisses her. It comes as a surprise to Jackie, who until then had seen Eliot as someone she felt comfortable with rather than a romantic prospect.

Series creator Melanie Halsall has already made clear that Eliot will continue to matter to the story, leaving open how Jackie will respond to the kiss, and what happens if Cole survives the crash.

Other relationships left hanging

Alex finally realizes his feelings for Kiley go beyond friendship, after the two shared a kiss he initially insisted on calling a mistake. In the last episode, he shows up at Kiley's house ready to tell her how he feels, but Dylan arrives at that exact moment and shuts the door in his face. The relationship between the three of them is left completely open heading into season 4.

Danny and Erin also end the season with their future uncertain. Both have confirmed they love each other and are committed, but Danny has been accepted to Carnegie Mellon University, and it isn't yet decided how that new chapter will fit with their relationship. George, meanwhile, has recovered from his health problem and returned home, though the Walter family still has reason to keep watch over his recovery.
