Brazilian singer Ney Matogrosso has announced his 2027 tour 85 Years of Daring, featuring ten stadium and arena concerts across major cities in Brazil.

Ney Matogrosso Announces 2027 Brazil Stadium Tour Dates

Singer Ney Matogrosso has announced a new concert tour titled 85 Years of Daring, set to perform across major Brazilian cities in 2027.

The anniversary project celebrates the performer reaching 85 years of age and will feature massive stadium and arena performances in São Paulo, Curitiba, Recife, Belo Horizonte, and Rio de Janeiro, with additional tour stops to be announced later.

Announcing the tour, the veteran artist stressed that the concerts are not a farewell performance, but rather a celebration of a long and successful career. In an official note accompanying the announcement, Matogrosso said age and length of career have no impact at all, adding that he continues on the road, enjoys having people in front of him, and loves to dance.

Matogrosso is one of the most influential figures in Música Popular Brasileira, the musical movement encompassing modern Brazilian pop and traditional MPB. He first rose to national prominence in the early 1970s as the lead vocalist of the glam rock group Secos e Molhados before establishing an acclaimed solo career defined by his expressive countertenor vocal range and theatrical stage presence.

Visual Identity and Historic Costumes

The visual identity for the tour is being created by American photographer David LaChapelle, who has previously photographed international pop stars including Sabrina Carpenter, Mariah Carey, and Madonna. Matogrosso is the first Brazilian artist to be photographed by LaChapelle, who became fascinated by the singer after watching the biographical film Homem com H.

Carol Pascoal, vice president of marketing and communication at live entertainment promoter 30e, explained that LaChapelle was fascinated by the universe he discovered in the musician's story. Pascoal said that based on the concept developed for the show series, LaChapelle created images that bring to life the fantastic, free, and daring atmosphere envisioned for the project.

Speaking at a press conference, Matogrosso revealed that he selected ten iconic stage outfits from across his career to reproduce for the national tour. Because the tour features ten shows, he said he will ask to recreate ten past costumes so he can wear a different look at each performance. He clarified that the effort is not about direct copying but drawing inspiration from his past wardrobe, confirming he will open with his famous Bandido costume, specifically the all-gold version rather than the denim jeans outfit.

Ticket Sales and Presale Windows

Tickets for the tour will be made available across three distinct purchasing windows. Presales open first for Private Itaú and Itaú Personnalité cardholders from 27 August at 10:00 until 28 August at 10:00.

A second presale window for Itaú Unibanco clients will run from 28 August at 10:00 until 30 August at 23:00. General ticket sales begin on 31 August at 12:00 online, followed by official physical box office sales starting at 13:00.

Under Brazilian law and custom, concert tickets are offered across three main pricing structures. Legal half-price tickets, known as meia-entrada legal, offer 50 percent discounts for eligible groups including students and seniors. Social entry tickets, or entrada social, provide a reduced admission rate for buyers who make a designated social contribution, alongside standard full-price tickets known as inteira.
