Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts spent a sunny afternoon at Kenwood House cuddling her newborn baby girl, who was born in May. The 40-year-old artist looked radiant during the relaxing day out at the 17th-century country house in Hampstead Heath on Friday.

Roberts wore a strapless black top teamed with a cream patterned maxi skirt for the occasion. Her baby daughter wore a grey onesie as she slept peacefully on her mother's chest.

Posting photos from the outing on Instagram, Roberts added the caption, "Pretty summer afternoons at Kenwood." Her post drew warm responses from fans and celebrity friends, including Patsy Kensit and Keisha Buchanan.

Birth announcement and family details
Roberts announced on May 24 that she had secretly welcomed her first child, a daughter, a "couple of weeks ago" with her fiancé Mitch Hahn, 37. She shared images cradling the baby alongside a picture of footballer Hahn leaving the hospital carrying their daughter.

In her announcement post, Roberts wrote, "Our beautiful baby girl is here. We haven’t stopped staring at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head." She added, "She arrived healthy and content a couple of weeks ago at 38 weeks weighing 6.5lbs and is thriving. It’s heaven on earth with her and we can hardly believe she’s ours."

Showbiz friends celebrated the birth announcement in the comments section. Television personality Jess Wright wrote, "Congratulations darling," while Loose Women star Katie Piper added, "So happy for you both."

Girls Aloud bandmates and motherhood
Roberts is the final member of Girls Aloud to become a mother. Bandmate Sarah Harding died childless in 2021 at age 39 following a battle with breast cancer.
Among the surviving group members, Cheryl Cole shares nine-year-old son Bear with the late Liam Payne. Kimberley Walsh and her husband Justin Scott have three sons, 11-year-old Bobby, seven-year-old Cole, and three-year-old Nate, while Nadine Coyle shares 12-year-old daughter Anaíya with her long-term partner, former NFL player Jason Bell.
Pregnancy surgery and stage departure
Earlier in her pregnancy, Roberts underwent surgery at 22 weeks to "keep the baby in." In January, she confirmed the procedure caused her to withdraw from her final scheduled performances in the West End musical Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre, where she starred as the goddess Persephone.
Doctors ordered the singer to rest for her final trimester when she was 34 weeks pregnant. Writing on social media at the time, Roberts shared, "Some pics I took this week.. Hasn’t it been so nice to really feel spring."
She explained her condition in the post, writing, "I’ve been under instruction not to do much since I had the surgery at 22 weeks to help keep baby in. Hitting that 34 week mark was a big relief." She added, "I now only have a few weeks left. Safe to say, this last bit is not the easiest is it?! In one breath, it will be nice to feel more comfortable again but I will also really miss my bump and having this tiny little thing in there."
