The musician announced on his social media accounts that he will not be able to perform at the Festival de la Luz in Boimorto this Sunday, August 30, after doctors insisted he remain on absolute rest.
The decision comes after Alborán issued an initial emergency statement last Thursday, just one day before a scheduled sold-out concert in Ciudad Real, revealing a diagnosis of severe pneumonia that required immediate, mandatory rest by medical prescription. The Ciudad Real show had been marked as one of the major highlights of his August summer itinerary, with tickets selling out weeks in advance.
In his second message to fans, Alborán explained that while he is recovering step by step, his physicians have demanded additional days of recuperation. He admitted that the recovery process is taking longer than he would have liked, but stressed that it remains on the right track.
