Rihanna accidentally offered to take a picture of a fan instead of with him, leaving the singer in fits of giggles during an encounter outside a hotel in Cannes.
The man, named Clement, approached the 38-year-old star and asked, "Rihanna, please, a picture of me?" Taking his broken English literally, she happily grabbed his phone and prepared to snap a solo photo of him, not realising what he actually meant.
"I'm gonna crush that s**t, how you gonna pose?" she said as she got ready to take the picture.

He then pointed at her, confused, prompting her to exclaim, "Oh you want me in it?!" as she burst out laughing. The pair then posed for a photo together, with the man telling her she was "beautiful."

Rihanna's partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, was filming the exchange and jokingly berated the fan, telling him, "Relax on the compliments, buddy!"
Clip from Cannes Film Festival goes viral
The footage was filmed back in May during the Cannes Film Festival but has only now started circulating widely on social media. For the encounter, Rihanna wore a high-neck blue chiffon dress paired with a smart black blazer.
The singer and A$AP Rocky are parents to three children together: RZA, four, Riot, three, and Rocki, 11 months. The couple welcomed Rocki, their baby girl, in September.

Rihanna's Macarena moment at the World Cup final
Rihanna was recently branded an "icon" after footage showed her nonchalantly dancing the Macarena at the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New York, where Spain were crowned world champions for the second time after beating Argentina 1-0.
The singer joined a string of big names at the match, dancing along with the crowd to the Macarena as players took a hydration break. Sat beside A$AP Rocky, she kept hold of her glass of champagne throughout her muted version of the dance.

The clip drew praise online, with one fan writing: "She's just such a fun woman and I love it. I like how she's always having fun and being herself; I like how relaxed and simple she is, she just enjoys lifffeeeeeee! We all should."

Rihanna's career beyond music
Rihanna released her last studio album, Anti, in 2016. In the decade since, she has focused on raising her family alongside running multiple businesses that have helped make her a billionaire.
Despite the long gap since her last record, Rihanna returned to the stage last month for the first time in three years to perform alongside Jay-Z.
