Beautician Safiyya Vorajee has confirmed her romance with Dutch influencer Virgil Sint Jago after launching their relationship on Instagram following a trip to Bali.
Vorajee, who hails from Birmingham, posted a photograph on Instagram showing Sint Jago planting a kiss on her cheek. The pair first met on the Indonesian island after Vorajee traveled there on a solo trip earlier this year.
Sint Jago is a Dutch transformative coach and fitness fanatic who states on his profile that he helps women over 30 fix their metabolism and lose 5 to 20kg. His social media page features numerous shirtless photographs showcasing his muscular frame, including posts taken while visiting a cave in Bali.
Meeting in Bali
Vorajee explained that her original travel plans were altered before meeting Sint Jago. Alongside her Instagram post, she wrote: "Happy the universe changed my direction from Thailand to Bali."
She added: "In a world that's so big we met exactly where we was meant to feel so happy. God always gets the timing right. Trust in him always. The most magical connection when you feel it in your soul."
Padel games and Instagram hints
Vorajee had previously hinted at the new romance two weeks earlier when she posted a video of them playing padel with friends. Viewers noted strong chemistry between the pair in the clip.
She captioned the video: "POV: You came to Bali to heal... now you're emotionally attached to your padel partners." Fans flooded the comment section with humorous remarks about her attachment.
Sint Jago flirted with Vorajee in the comments, writing "Ayeeeee" alongside two flame emojis to highlight her appearance. Vorajee interacted back with him in the comment section.
Following her trip, Vorajee posted a picture from the bar of a plane while returning to England in first class. She wrote: "Thank you God for the blessings that are coming my way."
Solo trip and healing journey
The beauty entrepreneur spent several weeks on an extended solo trip to Bali from April to July, focusing on self-discovery and fitness. During the trip, she uploaded a beach bikini photo captioned: "Please be picky everything you want exists," followed by a mic drop emoji.
Reflecting on the experience on Instagram, Vorajee wrote: "Bali, Bali, Bali… This place has become home to a part of me I thought I’d lost forever. The beauty, the people, the energy… it’s impossible to put into words. There’s something so magical here that has healed parts of my soul I didn’t even realise were still hurting."
She continued: "I’ve grown so much. My nervous system has finally experienced what real calm feels like. I’ve let my guard down, allowed myself to be vulnerable, and in doing that, I’ve found friendships and connections that have changed me forever."
Vorajee added: "I spent so many years being a prisoner to my own mind, convincing myself it was safer not to let people in. But all that ever did was keep me from my own happiness. Not anymore. For the first time in a long time, I’m choosing me. I’m choosing peace. I’m choosing joy. I’m choosing to believe that life still has beautiful chapters waiting for me. Bali isn’t just a destination… It’s a feeling. And somehow, it reminded me who I was before the world broke my heart. The next chapter is coming and this one feels exciting."
Loss of daughter Azaylia
Vorajee has faced a challenging period in recent years. She welcomed a daughter, Azaylia, with her ex-partner Ashley Cain in August 2020.
Azaylia tragically passed away from leukaemia in April 2021 at eight months old.
Ashley Cain social media controversy
In June, Cain stated that he cannot change his past after past misogynistic tweets and allegations of misconduct resurfaced. The 35-year-old former footballer and Ex On The Beach star faced backlash over posts on his now-deleted X account calling women "s**gs", "s**ts" and "psychos".
Cain was subsequently sacked by the BBC. The Daily Mail revealed that his management firm had also dropped him.
In an Instagram statement, Cain took accountability for his past actions and stated that he does not condone his past behaviour.
Cain wrote: "To my community, You may have seen a recent article concerning language I used many years ago that I am not proud of. I don't deny it. I don't excuse it. And I certainly don't condone it. The truth is that these comments were made over a decade ago by a younger version of myself who still had a lot of growing up to do. I cannot change the past, and truthfully, I have never tried to hide from it."
He added: "I have always believed that accountability matters. We should all take responsibility for our actions, good or bad. But I also believe in growth, in learning from our mistakes, and in proving through our actions that the person we once were does not have to be the person we remain."
