Popular influencer Tahlia Skaines has married her partner Jake Suj at a private location on the Indonesian island of Bali after a lavish wedding ceremony.
The couple went all out for the nuptials last week, where Skaines wore an elegant strapless corseted gown featuring a long train designed by luxury Australian bridal brand Pallas Couture.
She swept her blonde locks into a classic updo with a long netted veil and wore minimal jewelry, including diamond stud earrings alongside her large diamond engagement ring to keep focus on the dress. Suj wore a black tuxedo paired with a white dinner shirt and a black bow-tie.
Skaines dressed her bridesmaids in matching chocolate brown halterneck dresses, which were cut on the bias to flatter the figure.
Cocktail hour and reception look
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds joined their guests for a 90-minute cocktail hour featuring a champagne tower, endless margaritas, and decadent canapés before heading to their reception.
For the evening celebrations, Skaines changed into a second outfit to dance the night away, slipping into a white strapless minidress with a puffball hem.
Friends and fellow influencers praised Skaines following the ceremony, calling her one of the most beautiful brides they had ever seen while admiring her wedding gown.
Engagement in the French countryside
The ceremony in Bali comes after the couple announced their engagement in July last year, when Skaines confirmed on Instagram that Suj had proposed during a trip to France.
Suj got down on one knee during a romantic getaway at Château de Berne, a historic estate and vineyard located in Provence.
Skaines announced the news by sharing a gallery of photos and a clip of the proposal, captioning the post "Locked in". The photos showed her embracing Suj while displaying her diamond ring, enjoying brunch in France, and celebrating with a helicopter ride.
Reflecting on the proposal on social media, Skaines wrote: "The moments after getting engaged!! We had a picnic next to the proposal spot in the middle of the most stunning French vineyard and I think I cried like five times asking Jake questions about all the details. Such a surreal feeling."
The announcement prompted messages of congratulations from high-profile friends, with Brooke Warne writing "OMG CONGRATULATIONS QUEEN!!" and Tammy Hembrow commenting "Congrats beauty!!" Influencer Skye Wheatley added: "Awww this is sooo cuteeee."
Career transition from law to social media
Before achieving success as an Instagram creator and traveling the world, Skaines completed a law degree in 2016.
"I had every intention of being a lawyer and if a few years ago you told me that this would be my career, I honestly wouldn't have believed it," Skaines previously told Daily Mail.
She noted that her legal education proved useful while building her property project, Villa Tahmi in Bali, as well as managing her daily business operations.
"I am so glad I completed my law degree: I have used elements of it while building Villa Tahmi (in Bali) and in my day-to-day life and I can always go back to it down the track if I need to," Skaines said. "But it isn't something I see myself needing to do with the way my career is progressing."
