The animated movie Um and Khrum. The Power of Five Flavors will open in Russian cinemas on September 30, 2027, studio Klakson Production announced to Gazeta.Ru. The film marks the franchise's first feature-length project.
The story follows genius scientist Um and his friend Khrum, who can turn into anything he eats, after they land on a planet made of food. There, they accidentally awaken an ancient villain named Bezvkus, who aims to rob the world of all taste. To save the planet, the pair must locate five ingredients that provide the power of five flavors.
General producer Dmitry Parshin said that the team is creating a colorful, musical, and funny film while preserving the core message of the series that moderation in food, as in life, is essential. He added that this idea is presented through an engaging story, humor, and vibrant characters rather than moralizing lessons.
Klakson Production, which also created Um and Khrum, Flora's Team. Eco-Patrol, and Fortuna's Songs, is producing the movie. Volga will handle distribution in Russia.
Oleg Sheplyakov is directing the film, with Anna Umanets serving as production designer. Voice actors Ivan Chaban, Maxim Sergeev, and Irina Obrezkova provide the lead voices.
