Irish television presenter Vogue Williams has given birth to her fourth child, a baby boy, with her husband Spencer Matthews, announcing the news on Instagram.
Williams, 40, and former Made in Chelsea star Matthews, 38, announced the arrival of their newborn on Tuesday evening in a post shared with followers online.
Confirming the birth, Williams wrote: "Our beautiful baby boy has arrived safely… The house is bursting with excitement, love and happiness and we couldn’t be more delighted."
The couple are already parents to three older children: seven-year-old son Theodore, six-year-old daughter Gigi, and four-year-old son Otto.
Famous friends quickly sent congratulatory messages to the family following the social media announcement.
Television presenter Holly Willoughby described Williams as "super mamma," while radio and television presenters Amanda Holden and Zoe Ball also shared supportive messages.
Born in Dublin, Williams is an Irish television presenter, radio host, and model who has worked across major broadcasting networks in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Matthews gained public prominence as an original cast member on the E4 reality television series Made in Chelsea, which premiered in 2011 and follows the lives of affluent young socialites in West London.
A Last-Minute Name Change
Williams has not yet publicly revealed the name chosen for their newborn son.
The decision comes after the mother of four disclosed that she and Matthews decided to change their baby boy's name at the last minute shortly before his arrival.
The couple had originally planned to name their fourth child Elvis, taking inspiration from the American rock and roll icon Elvis Presley.
However, ahead of her due date, Williams explained during an episode of her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me that they had backed away from the choice and needed to select a replacement.
"Do you know what? Big news from my week. We have changed our baby name - we have no name," Williams told listeners on the podcast.
"You know the name was pretty full on and I loved the name. Spenny has been getting a few phone calls from family members regarding the name," she said.
Her co-host and close friend Joanne McNally joked during the show: "I just don't think Gary is that controversial."
McNally is an Irish stand-up comedian and writer who co-created My Therapist Ghosted Me with Williams in 2021. The popular weekly comedy podcast features the duo discussing personal experiences and lifestyle topics, and has performed live tours across Britain and Ireland.
Williams went on to explain her change of heart, admitting that while she loved the name Elvis, she had doubts about how it would affect her son as he grew up.
"I honestly thought though because it's been on my mind I just, I haven't ever been 100 per cent comfortable with it," Williams said.
"But because as much as I love the name it's such a big name to take on when you're little or trying to get a job when you're older. I have got other very cool options, though that was my favourite name," she added, before confirming: "We were going to call the baby Elvis, I love it."
Pregnancy Announcement and Family History
Williams and Matthews first shared news of the pregnancy on social media in April.
At the time, Williams posted a collection of family photographs on Instagram accompanied by the caption: "BABY NUMBER 4 INCOMING..."
The couple married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony held at the Matthews family estate in Scotland.
Addressing Marriage Speculation
The family news follows a period last year when rumours circulated online regarding the stability of the couple's marriage.
Speculation arose after followers noted that Williams and Matthews did not publicly mark their seventh wedding anniversary.
The gossip coincided with Matthews stepping down from their joint podcast, Spencer & Vogue, to launch his own business project, Untapped, a brand focusing on non-alcoholic drinks.
Williams subsequently moved to dismiss the separation claims, stressing that their marriage remains strong and secure.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the presenter explained that she had reached a point in her life where only "their truth" mattered, confirming that they remain very happy together.
"When he left our podcast, everyone was like, 'What's going on?'" Williams said, recalling the public reaction to his departure.
She also expressed concern about false reports, stating that she worried her young children might hear "baseless and cruel" gossip at school.
To address the claims directly, Williams published a statement on Instagram to reassure followers and clarify their relationship status.
"It’s with great sadness that I have to let you know that Spen and I are NOT breaking up!" Williams wrote in the post.
"I usually avoid addressing baseless and cruel rumours, but this just keeps coming up. It’s disappointing to see this narrative being pushed almost daily when it’s absolutely not true, and much more importantly, I don’t want my children hearing these lies in the playground."
She added: "We’re not sure what the angle is or where it’s coming from, but the whole thing feels very strange and mean. We’re very happily married and in love and I hope posting the truth on my own platform might make it stop."
