During an interview with Total Film (via Games Radar), mackey talked about a possible departure from Sex Education in an eventual fifth season. “It’s always tricky, it’s different when you play a character frozen in time,” she said.
You know, we play 17-year-olds, and we’re all in our late 30s, it’s a little weird.
“It’s a blessing because it’s a platform and it’s something that’s given us opportunities in different ways, but it’s something that I want to gracefully walk away from, and be glad that it exists and protect it and enjoy it in the time that it existed, but yeah, needs to be left alone now I guess,” continued the actress.
We can all move on and take what we’ve learned from Sex Education also, because it has been a school, literally, for all of us.
