In seven-episode podcast, JK Rowling will speak about transphobic comments she has made over the years
In the last years, J.K. Rowling disappointed several fans by openly posting transphobic comments on social media. Now on the podcast The Witch Trials Of JK Rowlingthe author of Harry Potter will comment on the criticisms he received with the controversies. The information is from Variety.
In the podcast trailer, Rowling stated how fans “deeply” misunderstood her point of view. “What has interested me in recent years, especially in social networks [é quando os fãs dizem]: ‘You have ruined your legacy. Oh, you could have been loved forever, but you chose to say so.’ And I think, ‘You couldn’t have misunderstood me more deeply,'” she said.

With seven episodes in all, The Witch Trials Of JK Rowling is presented by Megan Phelps-Roper and described as an “audio documentary that examines some of the most contentious conflicts of our time through the life and career of the world’s most successful author.”
The program will also feature interviews by Phelps Roperin which J.K. Rowling “speaks with unprecedented candor and depth about the controversies that surround her – from book bans to debates about gender and sex.”
The official launch of The Witch Trials Of JK Rowling is set for February 21, 2023 on platforms that host podcasts, when the first two episodes will be made available. The remainder will arrive weekly.
