Inspired by Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book, ‘Daisy Jones and The Six’ premieres March on PrimeVideo

the series of Daisy Jones and The Sixinspired by the book of the same name by the author Taylor Jenkins Reid, premieres on March 3. In the first images revealed, fans missed the sixth member of the band, Pete Lovingbassist of The Six.

In the book, the character is the brother of Eddie Lovingrenamed as Eddie Roundtree (Josh Withehouse) and is not mentioned in the production.

The producers’ explanation for the five-piece band being named as The Six, is the constant presence of Camilla Dunne in the group. The character is essential for the conflict of the plot and, as in the book, it is the main incentive for Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) and the other members follow a career with The Sixwhich later receives Daisy Jones (Riley Keought) as new vocalist.

Until the moment of this publication, the producers did not explain the absence of Pete Loving in adaptation.

Who is Pete Loving in the book Daisy Jones and The Six?

loving joins as bassist The Six already in the first formation of the band, when called The Dunne Brothers. Born in Pennsylvania, Pete is Eddie’s brother and met the other members in their teens. He took an active role in shaping the band’s rhythm throughout their career.

At the end of the book, pete decides to leave The Six after the tour ended Aurora to marry.

Based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reidthe adaptation of Amazon Prime Video will focus on the dizzying rise of a rock band and all the complications of young life in 1970s America: filled with music, relationships, addiction and love.

In the list we will have Riley Keough as Daisy Jones and Sam Claflin as Billy Dune. In all, the production will have ten episodes and the streaming platform will make weekly releases every Friday, which premieres on March 3, in more than 240 countries and territories.
