four years later The IrishMartin Scorsese is about to make his comeback The flower moon killers. A feature film adapted from the book of the same name by the American journalist David Grann, which retraces the murders of the Osage tribe in Oklahoma in the early 1920s. A series of crimes committed by rancher William Hale (Robert De Niro) and his nephews Ernest (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Bryan Burkhart (Scott Shepherd) to recover the oil discovered on their land.
Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser round out the cast. The film marks the tenth collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro (if we set aside The blacklist AND shark band in which the director acts and lends his voice), and the sixth between the director and Leonardo DiCaprio after New York gangs, Aviator, Infiltrate, Shutter Island AND The Wolf of Wall Street. It also allows the two actors to give each other the next line Secret wounds AND simple secrets.
A masterpiece according to Leonardo DiCaprio
During a masterclass organized at the Doha Film Institute in Qatar, costume designer Jacqueline West spoke about her participation The flower moon killers, “the most incredible experience of (his) career in cinema”. He explained that he had talked about it with Leonardo DiCaprio, that he would have already had the opportunity to see the final result. And the actor would be full of praise for the feature film:
I was talking about it with Leo. We had lunch before I came here. He said, “Jackie, I think we’ve been working on a masterpiece.” I think when Leo says that, it’s nothing. He doesn’t say that lightly. He’s been in the business since he was very young.
What strengthens the expectation around the film, of which the release is planned on Apple TV+but which does not yet have a date.
