MH370: the mystery remains
Nine years ago, on March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which was connecting Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, disappeared from radar with 239 people on board. Despite years of research and several million invested, the wreckage of the Boeing 777 was never found. Worse still, the circumstances of the plane’s disappearance remain unknown to this day. A tragedy for the families of the victims, who are still waiting for answers on the disappearance of their loved ones.
On March 8, the anniversary of Flight MH370’s disappearance, Netflix released a three-part documentary. Back to the investigations but also to the several theories which could explain the disappearance of the device. Many interested parties participated in this documentary: journalists, experts and also the families of the victims.
The documentary is controversial
Shortly after it went live, rumors arose against Netflix. Indeed, some accuse the documentary of transmitting conspiracy words, far from the established facts concerning flight MH370. This is the case, for example, of the aviation expert, Xavier Tytelman, who published a long message on Twitter about documentary approximations. In particular, he accuses Netflix of not having taken into account the facts proven and validated by the experts, and of having left the floor to the conspirators.
He indicates that he will soon put a video online in response to the approximations and false information from documentaries about flight MH370. In particular on the fact that the numerous debris found on the African coast prove that the plane was shattered in flight. Or that it is completely impossible that the plane could have been shot down off the coast of Vietnam (one of the theories discussed in the documentary).
Netflix has not yet responded to this controversy.
