Spinoff series of The Boys, Gen V should have participation from the original production
Gen Vthe spinoff of The Boys, will feature cameos from some heroes from the original series. is what revealed Jensen Acklesthe actor who gave life to Soldier Boy – the antagonist of the third season of the original series.
The revelation was made at a fan convention in New Orleans, in the United States, during the last weekend. At the event, the actor admitted to having recorded scenes for the new production.
“Soldier Boy appears for a brief moment in The Boys spin-off,” he declared. “Actually, we’re going to have a few Mothership cameos in this spin-off. Mine was quite a lot. [improvisada].”
According to Ackles, the showrunner of The Boys, Eric Kripkewas on set when he made his cameo in Gen V. The duo would have formulated the scenes on the spot, exchanging ideas between takes.
The statement confirms what has already been advanced in the first teaser of Gen V, in which the characters A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Ashley Varrett (colby minifie) and Adam Bourke (PJ Bourne) appear.
Gen V will expand the universe of The Boys to a university where superheroes are trained. The series is described as a college drama with a touch of Hunger Games. In the cast are already confirmed Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sean Patrick Thomasin addition to the Brazilian Marco Pigossi. According to Screen Rantthe premiere is expected for July this year on Prime Video.
