The idol finally hits the screens
Series The idol will finally see the light of day. In production for many months, with a first trailer unveiled last summer, the show has begun to question. No date had been announced by HBO and, last March, an article by RollingStone presented an inglorious portrayal of the shooting.

But just days after the announcement of a screening of the first episodes of The idol at the Cannes Film Festival (May 16-27), a release date has finally been confirmed. Through a press release and a new trailer (in an article), we learn that the series will be to be discovered in France from 5 June. Or at the same time as the United States, thanks to the Warner Pass available on Prime Video.

Beyond this date, the story becomes clearer with an official synopsis:
After her latest tour marred by a nervous breakdown, Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) is determined to reclaim her title as America’s hottest and sexiest pop star. Tedros (Abel Tesfay, The Weeknd), a nightclub owner with a troubled past, rekindles the flame within her. Will this new romance take her to the top of her game or will it shake her to the core of her soul?
As we can see in the trailer, there will therefore be this singer but also the whole team that revolves around her. Their goal is to make her hers”the ultimate badass pop singer“(bad bad girl pop in VO) as there were in 1990-2000. Then we naturally think of Britney Spears, whose song Give me more (2007) is the background, but also to a singer like Miley Cyrus.
Between media and personal pressures, and a toxic relationship with a probably problematic man, the course of this Jocelyn promises to be chaotic anyway. Appointment June 5 on Prime Video (with Warner Pass) discover The idol.
