Hunger Games 5: what is this new film about?
Eight years after the release of the last film starring Jennifer Lawrence in the role of Katniss Everdeen, we are about to find Panem again for new Hunger Games that promise to be particularly cruel. Indeed the movie The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbirdadapted from the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins published in 2020, will take place sixty years before the first film.
We will witness the 10th edition of the famous games and the youth of Coriolanus Snow. Therefore, the latter will become a mentor for the first time and he will have to train the young Lucy Gray Baird, from District 12, to survive the hardships. The two heroes to whom everything opposes will approach at their own risk.
On the casting side, it is the rising star Rachel Zegler who has been chosen to play the role of Lucy. As for Coriolanus Snow, actor Tom Blyth was cast. The realization was entrusted to Francis Lawrence, usual of the saga, since he had staged the last three films with Jennifer Lawrence. In France, the film is expected on November 15, 2023, two days before its US release.
The rest of the cast includes Hunter Schafer (Tigris Snow), Viola Davis (Volumnia Gaul), Jason Schwartzman (Lucky Flickerman) and Peter Dinklage (Casca Highbottom).
