Chocolate fasting days will appeal not only to sweet tooth, but also to those who suffer from high blood pressure. But diabetics should abstain. Of course, not just any chocolate will do – skip milk bars and airy whites. Choose dark chocolate with at least 80% cocoa.
A day of fasting can be constructed in two ways. You can eat 10 g of chocolate before each meal, or you can take 80 g of chocolate and spread its consumption throughout the day. At the same time, pay special attention to water – you need to drink 1.5 or even 2 liters (although you can drink water only 3 hours after eating a portion of chocolate).
If you can’t live without meat, then this option will suit you. Distribute 700 g of boiled chicken in equal parts for 6 meals every 3 hours. Drink lots of water and try to avoid vegetables. The essence of this day of fasting is a large amount of protein consumed – it speeds up the metabolism and causes the body to produce enzymes that break down fat. The essence of this fasting day is a high protein intake. Mix in a blender about 500 g of cottage cheese (more possible!), 0.5 liters of kefir and unsweetened fruit – try to do without bananas, grapes and figs. Most of the cocktail should be cottage cheese and kefir – so you get a large dose of protein, which will positively affect your metabolism.
By the way, for those who like vegetables more, there is also an option. Mix kefir, cottage cheese, cucumber and greens (almost any will do: spinach, lettuce, parsley, onion).
Green apples are considered the most useful – however, be careful if you have gastritis or a stomach ulcer. During the day, crunch with apples (in a day you will need to eat about a kilogram) and jam with cottage cheese. Or drink a glass of mineral water half an hour before a meal, which will be apples. Apples can be combined with kefir and honey, or you can eat them separately without even drinking water – this way you will help the body get rid of excess fluid.
