The opening ceremony of the 76th Cannes Film Festival
THE 76th Cannes Film Festival starts on May 16, 2023 and will run until May 27. The opening ceremony saw Michael Douglas is honoured. The actor walked the red carpet with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and daughter Carys.
Then, once in the room, it was Uma Thurman who gave it to him his honorary Palme d’OrWhile Catherine Deneuve he read a poem under the eyes of his daughter Chiara Mastroianni, this year’s godmother. Finally, after climbing the stairs, Maiwenn e Johnny Depp were able to settle down at the Grand Théâtre Lumière for the screening of the opening film, Joan of Barrywith the whole film crew.
The jury which will award the Palme d’Or, composed of Julia Ducournau, Denis Ménochet, Brie Larson, Paul Dano, Maryam Touzani, Rungano Nyoni, Atiq Rahimi and Damián Szifrón, also climbed the steps. After climbing the stairs, Jeanne du Barry’s team was present again May 17th for the press conference of the film. The opportunity to capture their image during the photocall. Then the Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda was in turn on the red carpet for the presentation of his film Monsterin the official competition.

Cannes, May 18
May 18th was a big day at the Cannes Film Festival with the screening of the event byIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The opportunity to see the film crew on the red carpet, notably led by Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and director James Mangold. Before this prestigious session, the team of Rosalia the photocall was attended by, among others, Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Benoît Magimel and Benjamin Biolay, before Sean Penn took the steps with the team of Black flies.
