Chris Hemsworth talks about anti-Marvel criticism
Chris Hemsworth’s career in the MCU has propelled the Australian actor to new heights of popularity. Since his first film as Thor in 2011, Hemsworth has become a iconic figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has played the powerful and charismatic superhero nine times, until Love and thunder released last summer.
However, Marvel films have recently come under criticism, including from famous directors like Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese. that he thought Marvel movies weren’t cinema.
In a recent magazine interview HQvoiced by Chris Hemsworth his disappointment with these criticisms who touched him, he who says he is a fan of these two directors:
It’s really depressing when I hear it. Two of my heroes I won’t work with. I guess they are not my fans

Chris Hemsworth believes Marvel movies have filled a important function keeping people in cinemas, especially at a time when the sector was emerging from the health crisis:
I’m grateful to have been a part of something that got people into cinema. Now, whether those films hurt other films or not, I don’t know (…) I don’t like it when we start criticizing each other, when there is already so much fragility in the industry and in this art space.. I say it minus to the directors who made these comments, who are all, by the way, still my heroes, and I’d work with them in a heartbeat. But I say this rather to the general opinion on this matter
As for his future in the MCU, Chris Hemsworth remains unclear. Also in this interview with GQ, he believes he has enjoyed this adventure of more than ten years. However, he said he would only come back for something really different from the other films.
