Anitta releases “Funk Rave”, her new single and the first under his new contract with Republic Records in association with Universal Music Latin Entertainment.
“All the music I’ve made in the last year is music that I’m very proud of. It’s both incredibly Brazilian and intentionally international: I made sure it was like me in every fiber of the music” , said the artist.
And he added: “Brazilian funk is my roots. It’s what I was born and raised. It’s my home. I made this new music with the intention of showing the world all those roots, which is most important to me, and starting with ‘Funk Rave’ does just that.”
The theme shows the iconic artist connecting intimately with his roots. This time, he leans towards Brazilian funk, updating a classic style for the new generation. Right from the start, he jokes: “Look what you can’t have, bitch boss”before offering a chorus to the rhythm of a dance floor.
You have to remember the first time Anitta went public with ‘Funk Rave’ was during the opening ceremony of the Champions League finalwhich was played in Istanbul (Turkey), before the match between Manchester City and Inter Milan.
