Alan Arkin is dead
The face was also known because the actor was discreet in public life. A discretion that reflected a remarkable humility, a quality of one who has a great talent, operating for more than 60 years on the big and small screen. It is therefore with great sadness that the world learned today the passing of American actor Alan Arkin, aged 89, died at his home in Carlsbad, California. His three sons Adam, Matthew and Anthony said in a statement:
Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, as an artist and as a man. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed.
