To match the age of the actors in the young cast with those of the characters, Stranger Things must have a time jump in season 5
the fifth season of Stranger Things (2016) must have a time jump, as revealed by series creators Ross and Matt Duffer. The idea arose to adjust the age of the characters to those of the actors in the young cast, as they are currently much older than the characters they play because of the time between seasons.
With the release of the fourth season, which the first part reached Netflix on May 27, many fans noticed how different the actors are from the last episodes, released three years ago, in 2019.
“I’m sure we’ll make a time jump [na quinta temporada],” revealed Ross in an interview with TVLine. “The initial idea was to shoot the fourth and fifth years in a row, but there was no viable way to do that.”
“We learn a lot every time we shoot a season. We’ve learned a lot working with all of our new actors and those we’ve worked with for a long time over the course of this year. [fazendo a 4ª temporada],” he explained.
Ross concluded by stating that there is still a lot to decide until the fifth season: “These are conversations that we will have with our writers when we start working in the new year. Believe it or not, we’re still working on Volume 2 of Season 4. We are trying to finish the last two episodes, they are giants.”
“The end is the most difficult. That’s obviously the stressful thing. We really want to keep the standard,” she explained.

The main characters of the third season will be back – but more grown up. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbour), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Steve (Joe Keery) and more will be present.
The fourth season arrives in the catalog of Netflix in two blocks: the first arrived on May 27, and the second arrives on July 1. According to the streaming platform’s official synopsis: “It is not all good news for our ‘American’; he is stranded far from home in the snowy desert of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human… and others.”
