Spoilers below for the first three episodes of The boys Season 3.
Season 3 of the fiery superhero series The boys he eventually started posting episodes on Amazon Prime Video and, of course, there were some scenes that were a little hard to digest. Episode 3, titled “Barbary Coast”, saw The Deep finally return to The Seven, but to do so he had to prove himself. Homelander cooked a good meal and then forced Deep to eat his octopus friend, Timothy. The super rude scene surprisingly won The boys a price.
animal rights organization PETA awarded the AFTV Tech Not Terror award to The boys for using a CGI octopus and “sending the message that eating animals is grotesque and cruel”. In the strange scene The boysUltimately, Deep was against eating Timothy, trying to tell Homelander that he is a father and Timothy keeps telling him not to eat him. Unfortunately, Deep had to give up, which caused him (and me) to bite each other as he did it.
This isn’t the first time PETA has drawn attention to how a television or film project deals with scenes involving animals. The organization aimed Clifford the big red dog even though the big red dog is CGI, and Rebel Wilson perfect dog The reality show caught PETA’s attention shortly after its first unveiling in 2021. The organization even asked for a live-action version of The little Mermaid. Who could have guessed? The boys would he receive praise for a scene where an octopus is eaten alive? The CGI obviously took the organization by storm.
Since we’re only three episodes away from the third season of The boys, we will probably have crazier scenes as the season progresses. It certainly wasn’t the first incident The Deep has had with her aquatic friends. Also, at the end of this month we will have the long awaited (and feared) “Herogasm” storyline, which in the comics features a superhero orgy on an island. What could go wrong? Perhaps The boys you’ll earn even more rewards as the season progresses, for whatever reason.
As for how The Deep will recover after eating his friend now that he’s back on The Seven, it’s clear he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get back on top (even if it means betraying those he loves). Starlight certainly didn’t want to bring him back into the group after she sexually assaulted her.
This octopus scene wasn’t the only commented scene from the first three episodes. Towards the start of the first episode, fans were greeted by a scene where Super Termite shrunk to explore the inside of her lover. It included huge penis support and a weird moment but you can’t stop watching it ended in tragedy after Termite sneezed and blew up her lover. being The boyscan we really expect less?
