Charlize Theron no longer wants a radical physical transformation
In nearly thirty years of career, Charlize Theron has transformed under the direction of James Gray (The construction sites), Jason Reitman (Young adult, Tully), Ridley Scott (Prometheus) or even George Miller (Mad Max: Road Fury). At ease in all registers, the actress arrives in 2004 Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Monster. In Patty Jenkins’ drama, the actress lends her features to Aileen, a prostitute who descends into a homicidal spiral after being attacked by a client. She drags Selby (Christina Ricci), a young woman with whom she is in love, into this hellish spiral.
For this film based on a true story, Charlize Theron transforms to play Aileen Wuornos. To become the serial killer, the actress weighs 15 kilos and sports a latex mask and dentures. A physical transformation in which the actress would never want to relive. In an interview given to rhythm and posted on Aug. 18, 2023, Charlize Theron explained:
I’ll never make a movie again telling myself I’m going to gain twenty kilos. I will never do that again because I can’t lose them. When I was 27, I did Monster. I lost fifteen kilos overnight. I skipped three meals and got back to my normal weight.

A complicated recovery
Even the actress confided his recent appearances in a number of action films AS Atomic blonde, The Old Guard OR FastX. And the actress assured that healing is sometimes difficult, humorously saying that she sometimes “she can’t sit on the toilet” because of the pain.

Seduce me if you can: this sex scene with Charlize Theron that made Seth Rogen very uncomfortable
She added:
What really bothers me is that I do action films now and if I get hurt it takes a lot longer to heal than it did when I was 20 years old. More than my face, I wish I had my 25-year-old body so I could throw myself against the wall without hurting myself. Now if I don’t train for three days and I don’t go back to the gym, I can’t walk.
