Escape room 2 : the trials of Minos resume
In 2019, the strange Minos company appears for the first time in the cinema in Play space. The goal of this mysterious enterprise: to study human behavior and survival instinct subjecting several selected candidates to dangerous tests, and above all deadly. Two years later, the two survivors of these terrifying games, Zoey (Taylor Russell) and Ben (Logan Miller), return to Escape Game 2: The world is a trap with the firm intention of lifting the veil around Minos’ actions.
And without counting on the Machiavellian power of the company, which thrusts them into a new game as soon as they arrive in New York. For this second appointment, again orchestrated by Adam Robitel (The Curious Case of Deborah Logan, Insidious – the last key), the company has gathered the winners of previous events. The opportunity to determine who will be the best of the best, especially comparing it with quicksand and very acid rain…
A long version that changes everything

In the last minutes of the film version ofEscape room 2, Zoey, Ben and Amanda (Deborah Ann Woll) manage to escape. After miraculously surviving the events of the first chapter, Amanda reveals to the heroes that she was forced to help Minos engineer his murderous parts of her to save her daughter Sonya, kidnapped by her company. And during the final scene, Zoey discovers that the company’s power extends far beyond her premises as a new escape room it begins while she’s on a plane with Ben.
A conclusion that opens the door to a third work, suggesting that Minos is capable of the worst anywhere. This ending has little to do with that of the long version, available on the Blu-ray of the film. With eight additional minutes and edited differently, this version introduces three new characters absent from the feature film presented in theaters, but still does without the dangerous return of Amanda.

In the opening, viewers meet Claire (Avianah Abrahams), a little girl whose father Henry (James Frain) is none other than the mastermind of these terrible ordeals. After she opposes the plan of wanting to slaughter poor souls by making fun of her, her wife Sonya (Tanya van Graan) dies in a sauna that is a little too hot. Years later, Claire (now played by Isabelle Fuhrman of Esther) helps Zoey and Ben out of trouble. She claims to them that she was kidnapped by her father and intends to destroy Minos but during the final revelations, the viewer learns that she is a particularly sadistic killer since her early childhood and that she designed everything herself.
Claire didn’t hesitate to get rid of her mother and now does the same with her father. No longer having to worry about the slightest familial consideration of her, this psychopath says she can finally tap into her full potential and then develop escape room even more cruel … something that the public will unfortunately not discover, since in the film version the character was abandoned.
