Zendaya won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Rue in Euphoria.
Singer since I was a child, zendaya was quite successful around the world with the role of street in euphoriafrom the HBObut the actress is already thinking about the next steps in her career – and wants to get rid of teenage characters.
During an interview with ELLEthe winning artist of the emmy in Best Actress in a Drama Series commented on how he intends to take on more adult roles. “From a character point of view, I want to find things that push me,” she said.
As I get older, you know, I can’t play a teenager for the rest of my life.
Right away, zendaya talked about the role in Rivalsdrama directed by Luca Guadagnino in which she plays a former tennis champion who has become her husband’s coach, but finds herself in the middle of a love triangle.
“I thought it was a good step towards a more, I guess you could say, ‘adult’ role and into the next phase,” he explained. “It was a little scary to take on, which I think is a good feeling. To be like, ‘Oh, can I do this?’ You could run away from that feeling and be safe and comfortable, or you could say, ‘You know what, f*** you.'”
