Killers of the Flower Moon: we saw the new Scorsese with DiCaprio and De Niro
Returning from war in the early 20th century, Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) finds his uncle, the influential William Hale (Robert De Niro), who takes him under his protection. Burkhart discovers that much of Oklahoma’s oil-rich lands belong to the Osage people. Eager to seize the fortune of the Native Americans, the formidable Hale asks his nephew to approach Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), member of the tribe.
Gradually, the murders of the Osage follow one another and Agent Tom White (Jesse Plemons) takes charge of the investigation. Torn between his manipulative uncle and Mollie, Burkhart finds himself trapped in a vicious spiral of violence. The impressive new trailer for The Flower Moon Assassins rightly focuses on the impossible dilemmas that Leonardo DiCaprio’s character faces, as well as the cruelty of Robert De Niro’s character and Lily Gladstone’s anger at the abominable acts that wipe out her tribe. These pictures promise monstrous performances from the three main actors, accompanied by Brendan Fraser and John Lithgow.
