Cannes Criminal Policethe TF1 series that gets people talking
The spread of Cannes Criminal Police continues on TF1. Inside, Lucie Lucas and Shy’m (real name Tamara Marthe) play Camille Delmasse and Léa Robert respectively, two police officers from the Croisette. In each episode they conduct a new investigation with the help of Harry (Jamie Bamber), a kind criminal who does everything he can to charm Camille.
For its debut on TF1, the series greatly surprised viewers thanks to its dubbing. Since the show was a co-production, filming was done in English and the actresses then dubbed themselves. A particular choice that sparked a reaction.
We find the trio anyway in episode 4 From Cannes Criminal Policetitle Murder in the hotel. Camille and Léa are tasked with investigating death threats made to the son of an arms dealer. The opportunity for Camille and Henry, always ready to intrude, to go out together of a famous hotel in Cannes: Le Majestic.

But while Camille and Henry have to go undercover and pass themselves off as newlyweds, Léa remains on the alert. And we find it elsewhere in the middle of a fight during a particular sequence hard to shoot for Shy’m.
Shy did his own stunts
In fact, the actress, who feared she didn’t have the body to play Léa, insisted on doing so itself its action sequences in the series. Stunts that, in most cases, pleased Shy’m that he would have asked for more, as he said Tele-leisure.
I liked it ! Basically I really like combat sports, I did karate, boxing and I like action films, I learned yet another aspect of fiction, now I watch films where there is fighting very differently. (…) I did them all (…) I think there weren’t enough.

Among the action scenes created by Shy’m, there is this fight in the bathrooms of the Majestic hotel at the end of episode 4. A sequence that was not easy to shoot due to the “quite cramped place” and the many mirrors in the room.
We had to avoid having the cameramen in the reflections. There also wasn’t much room to step back and film the fight. It was a super intense moment.
The actress felt ill during filming
But the real problem for Shy’m is that during the filming of this sequence in the bathrooms, the actress was “very sick“ and he thought he would never get there. Even more so below 40 degrees and without air conditioning.
I was sick, very sick. I told Manu Lanzi (the choreographer, ed.), I don’t think I’ll make it. I didn’t feel really good. She said to me: ‘listen, give it your all, turn off your brain’ and there was a stuntwoman to replace me if it was really impossible. It was 40 degrees, no air conditioning… I turned off my brain, put it on autopilot and managed to shoot the scene despite the illness, despite everything. It was crazy because we were all together. I’m really happy that I was able to make this sequence.
We understand why Shy’m keeps this particular sequence in mind. But seeing the result, we have no idea that the actress could have had similar difficulties. The episode airs on TF1 on Monday 16 October and is available on MyTF1.
