Shining Vale will be discontinued after the second season
After two seasons, the channel Starz chose to cancel the series Shining Valestarring Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear. In the United States, the two existing seasons will be removed from the streaming platform.
Produced by Warner Bros. and created by the screenwriter Jeff Astrof, Shining Vale tells the story of the Terry couple (Greg Kinnear) and Pat (Courteney Cox), who moves in with her two teenage children, Gaynor (Gus Birney) and Jake (Dylan Gage), to a small town in the United States. Facing a serious crisis in the relationship, change seems to be another form of “escape”. The situation gets worse when they discover that the new house is haunted.
In a statement to Variety, Astrof expressed sadness over the cancellation and regretted the news.
“For the actors, it’s been a year since we wrapped filming, but I was working on Season 3 until I heard the news last week.”
In Brazil, Shining Vale was launched by Lionsgate+now Starzplay, a recently discontinued streaming service. So far, there is no information about a new platform that will broadcast episodes from both seasons.
