Netflix: what’s new on the platform this week?
After a previous week full of new films, Netflix calms the waters a bit and offers us mainly new series this week.
After teasing it to its subscribers for a long time, the series Griseldaimagined by the creators of Narcosfinally arrives on the platform this January 25th.
This miniseries is inspired by the life of Griselda Blanco, an ambitious and skilled Colombian who is behind one of the most profitable cartels in history. The story is set in Miami in the 70s and 80s., where Griselda Blanco, with her brutal ferocity and a certain charm, was able to chart her path between business and family, to the point of being nicknamed “the godmother”. Her lead role is played by Sofia Vergara, who appears unrecognizable as a drug baroness, a far cry from her jaunty soundtrack Modern family.
