Netflix: last chance to follow this French comedy with the perfect cast

20 years later: Pierre Niney and Virginie Efira fall in love

20 years later is a French romantic comedy directed by David Moreau and brought forward by Pierre Niney and Virginie Efira.

The story revolves around Alice Lantins (played by Virginie Efira), an ambitious and serious 38-year-old editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, who aspires to become the next editor-in-chief of Rebelle magazine. Her chance meeting with Balthazar (Pierre Niney), a young 20-year-old student, suddenly changes the stern image she projects of herself. To boost her career, Alice begins a fake relationship with Balthazar, but she soon finds herself faced with the dilemma between love and professional ambition.

The great strength of the film is obviously the dynamic between Pierre Niney and Virginie Efira, irresistible in this cinematic couple that was never destined to meet.

Even the supporting roles shine, and give rise particularly funny sequences, like the one with Blanche Gardin, who plays a fashion photographer who is as unpleasant as possible, and who has to do a shoot for Balthazar, who has come to help Alice. We never get tired of seeing it again:

Last chance to catch up on the film on Netflix

At the box office, 20 years later it had an excellent performance, with almost one and a half million registrations. Furthermore, it is a film appreciated by both the public and the critics (in both cases it obtained a rating of 3.6/5 from its colleaguesAlloCiné).

Its availability on Netflix has allowed new viewers to discover (or rediscover) it but it will leave the platform this month, February 9th. So you only have one week left to immerse yourself in this French-style romantic comedy, as funny as it is touching, with an irresistible cast.
