Dune 2 : a long wait
Initially scheduled for November 1, 2023, Dune 2 it was ultimately postponed for several months. The Hollywood actors’ and actresses’ strike is to blame, which prevented the stars from promoting the film. Warner Bros. therefore preferred to postpone the release of the film until later, to February 28 in France. A choice that will disappoint those most impatient to discover the sequel to Paul Atréides’ adventure, based on the science fiction novel by Frank Herbert, published in 1965. But this decision taken by the studio may have been the right one, because we feel a real mania for the blockbuster for several weeks.
The promotion of the actors has nothing to do with it. The preview of Dune 2 in the presence of all its stars it was much commented on. However, we thought that the best person to “sell” the film was Christopher Nolan, who highly praised Denis Villeneuve’s feature film. But he was without counting Josh Brolinwho summed it up like no one Dune 2.
Josh Brolin sums up the film in an unlikely way
In addition to writing a poem dedicated to Timothée Chalamet during filming, the actor did, on his Instagram accountpromoting the release of Dune 2. To do so she posted a video accompanied by an unlikely text. In it, Josh Brolin does referencing his co-stars in a humorous way. He then summons Zendaya’s robotic suit during the premiere of Dune 2the film Wonka with Timothée Chalamet, Dave Bautista’s wrestling past or even Austin Butler’s interpretation as Elvis, without forgetting Javier Bardem’s role in It is no country for old men.
The robot woman and Wonka fall in love. Then Elvis tries to ruin everything while his evil father floats in a pool of shit. The WWE and Guardians of the Galaxy guy gets super pissed off, as the Midsommar hottie sets his sights on Wonka Obi Wan, right after his mom gets caught doing LSD in a sandy bathroom. And Chigurh still doesn’t like the Goonies guy. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to see all of this in IMAX?
Josh Brolin concludes his text by inviting the public to go to the cinemas now that”the pandemic and strikes are over“.
It’s time to communicate again and experience that incredible feeling when the lights go out, your hand is buried in your glass-shaped popcorn maker and DUNE 2 consumes you. Have fun.
It’s true that, said like this, Dune 2 sells dreams. In any case, we appreciate this humor from Josh Brolin to promote the film. See you in theaters on February 28th to discover the feature film, including the first opinions have arrived
