The mysterious thriller arrived on Netflix last December The world after us it was a real success. In just a few weeks, the film, directed by Sam Esmail and starring Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke, has become one of the most watched original feature films in the history of the platform.
As a reminder, the film based on the novel of the same name written by Rumaan Alam followed a couple and their two teenagers, who took a few days off in the suburbs of New York in a lavish mansion. According to initial information, there is currently a battle for film distribution rights, and Netflix would already be in the running. We therefore do not yet know whether the film will be released in cinemas or directly on a platform. This will be the third collaboration between Sam Esmail and Julia Roberts after the series Homecomingg (airing on Prime Video in 2018) e The world after us.
