A now historic film
The Oscar ceremony was held on the night between Sunday 10 and Monday 11 March at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. For the occasion, Godzilla minus one was one of the candidates, being in the running in the category better visual effects. AND he made history by winning the statuette.
Seventy years after the release of the first film centered on the monster, Godzilla minus one so it became the first Godzilla film to win an Oscar. It also is the first Japanese feature film to be crowned in the Best Visual Effects category.
Will we see a sequel?
