Casting announced for Beatles biopic
As this four-film biopic will focus on the British The Beatles, one of the greatest groups in the history of music, we have to see things in a very broad perspective. Developed by Sony Pictures studios – Sony also owns the entire Beatles catalog – these four films will be produced by Sam Mendes. This same prestigious British director who with his two James Bond films – also at Sony Pictures – has demonstrated that he can do anything, and very well.
Behind the camera it is therefore not necessary to worry about the means and know-how available. Obviously the thorny question remained fusion. Who will be the actors responsible for playing John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr?
The elite of the young British generation
The information, which has yet to be made official by the talents involved and by Sony, therefore remains at the moment conditionalit was, however, notably taken seriously NME AND Rowing, which invites us to look at it carefully. And the names mentioned are fantastic, bringing together young English and Irish actors on the rise.
John Lennon would then be embodied by Harris Dickinson27 years old and revealed himself to the general public in Without filter AND Paul McCartney from the star ofAfter sun and the next Gladiator 2 the Irish Paolo Mescal. So much for the two most iconic members of the Beatles, and it already seems ideal.

As for Ringo Starris another Irishman on the rise who would embody this: Barry Keoghan. After The Banshees of Inisherin, Salt burner OR Bird presented in competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, the one who will also be the Joker in the sequel to The Batman burns like Paul Mescal the stages of the journey towards superstar. Finally for George Harrison, the fourth of the group is not yet at the level of these prestigious partners. And it would even seem almost unknown at an international level, especially with notable but secondary interpretations Never let Me Go in 2010 and Rocket man in 2019: Charlie Rowe.

With four films, each shot from the point of view of one of the four musicians, the project promises to be monumental. The release of the four feature films is announced by 2027.
