Documentary by artist Lil Nas X premieres on streaming in Brazil soon
‘Long Live Montero’documentary by Lil Nas Xwill arrive on digital platforms on July 4th, as announced by Universal Pictures Content Group. The production was directed by Carlos López Estradaand features photography by Zac Manuelboth nominated for Oscar. The documentary aims to bring the public closer to who they really are Lil Nas X.
The film follows Lil Nas Xrapper, composer and winner of Grammy over the course of 60 days, during their first tour for the album Long Live Montero. Throughout the production, several themes were explored with the artist, such as identity, family, expectations and acceptance, while recognizing his place in the legacy of black and queer artists in today’s society. Lil Nas X really connects with the audience, and exposes who he really is, revealing private experiences, from his creation, being a black queer artist in the deep south of the United States to his rise and everything he has achieved over his 23 years.
“LIL NAS X: LONG LIVE MONTERO”also features performances of his hits such as “Industry Baby” It is “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. The documentary had its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival in 2023 and will be available for rent and purchase on digital platforms Amazon Prime Video, Claro, Google Play, Apple TV+ and Vubiquity from July 4, 2024.
