The new season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe animated series still has no scheduled release date for Disney+
Brad Winderbaumexecutive producer and president of the TV, Streaming and Animation division at Marvel Studios, spoke again about the third season of What If…? the first animated series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and stated that it will tell stories beyond the multiverse.
“I feel like it’s the conclusion of a trilogy. It goes beyond what the first two seasons explored of the multiverse, and brings in characters that are quite unexpected.”he said Winderbaum to the The Official Marvel Podcast [via BGR]. “[A nova temporada] has what I believe to be an extremely captivating and concrete culmination of Uatu the Watcher“.
The producer had already said, in May of this year, that the new episodes will bring more focus to the character played by Jeffrey Wrightin American Fiction (2023): “What’s great about him is that he comes across as this cold, uncaring person, just an observer, but he cares about everyone and everything. That will be on display throughout season three.”he stated.

When does the 3rd year of What If…??
The new season of What If…? has not yet had a confirmed release date, but Winderbaum advanced that “this should be the next one to come out, animation-wise”. Although there is no release date yet, the new episodes have already been previewed.
In the scene, released last December, Bucky BarnesO Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), It is Alexei ShostakovO Red Guardian (David Harbour), are inside a car. Then they are stopped by Bill FosterO Goliath (Laurence Fishburne), who is apparently a SHIELD agent, starting a high-speed chase.
