This isn’t the first time Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan has made positive comments about Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Known as the bassist for the American hard rock band Armas e Rosas, Duff McKagan gave his opinion on the use of Artificial intelligence (AI) in art – and went against the grain of most of those who are part of the recording industry.
During an interview with Classic Rock Magazinethe artist was asked if he thinks that the rapid improvements made in technology could pose a threat to the future of rock. In response, McKagan commented how he’s not too concerned about this hurting actual artists.
“As far as music goes, for a rock band like Armas e Rosasthat doesn’t apply. I don’t think it could. There’s nothing better than sitting down and writing a song on the guitar. There will never be anything better than that,” he said.
“I see AI art on Instagram from Armas e Rosasand some of the stuff is great, and my skin always looks amazing in it,” she continued. Duff McKagan. “I’m like, ‘I like this, AImy hair! That coat! I wish I had that coat!”
But seriously, I don’t know enough about it… as far as music goes, I don’t see any of that.
