Fantastic Four among the upcoming MCU films
Among the Marvel Cinematic Universe films scheduled for 2025, there is a reboot that is particularly anticipated by fans. Fantastic Four will present us with a new version of the story of the characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who became superheroes after being accidentally exposed to cosmic rays.
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman. We have also known the film’s casting for several months. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Reed Richards, Jane Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm respectively. While the San Diego Comic-Con has just concluded, new important information about the film have just been shared.
A new title and important information about the characters
For starters, Matt Shankman’s film now has a full title. As reported by ExpirationMarvel revealed during Comic-Con that it would be titled Fantastic Four: First Steps. If the title does not change in French, it will then be called First steps. We should then follow the beginnings of the superhero team that has already had several films in recent years, without much success.
Another major revelation was made at Comic-Con. So, we learned that the superhero team will be present in the next two films Avengers. The first, The Day of Judgementis scheduled for April 29, 2026 in France. And the second, Secret Warsfor May 5, 2027.
Filming began about a year before the feature film was released
On their side, The Fantastic Four artists have made their appearance during the event in San Diego. But they didn’t stay long. As Kevin Feige explained, they quickly returned to England the start of filming of their film.
Fantastic Four will be released in theaters in just under a year. In France it will be released in theaters July 25, 2025. As a reminder, the plot will take place in the 1960s in New York. But the city will not be the same as it existed in our world at that time.
