The Emmy-nominated actress revealed she had ‘trouble opening my Max account’ and ‘couldn’t figure out the password… I would love a DVD’
Aubrey Plaza won critical acclaim and a nomination for Emmy for his performance as Harper in the second season of The White Lotus (2021), even without having watched a single episode. In a video interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazinethe comedian revealed that she has yet to watch her season of the beloved anthology series. HBOcreated by Mike Whitebecause you cannot access your account on Max.
“I haven’t watched it yet, but I will,” he said. Plaza. “To be honest, I had trouble accessing my account on HBO Max when I originally tried to watch. I couldn’t remember the password and I usually give up when I can’t figure out passwords. I just can’t deal with things like that.”
“I would love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore,” he added. Plaza. “I ask for this every time.”
The actress has long been vocal about her frustrations with streaming platforms. Last year, she told Vanity Fair who gets “really pissed” whenever she’s forced to use one.
“I tried to watch season 20 of Top Chef. I couldn’t figure out how the hell to access the Hulu + Live. I give up, I can’t do it. I just can’t do it,” he commented. Plaza at the time. “And so what I like to do is go to the iTunes and buy old movies. Or I’ll go to iTunes and I buy the whole series of Sopranosand then my husband says, ‘You can literally watch this for free on HBO Max.'”
In an interview with Variety in 2022, Plaza revealed that she watched the first season of The White Lotus and it was his love for the work of Mike White who convinced her to accept a role written by him in the second season.
“I was a fan of the first season, but more importantly, I was a huge fan of Mike White,” he said Plaza. “So I’m really excited to be working with him. I’m really honored to be on this television series, and I hope I don’t disappoint anyone. It feels like everyone has watched this show.”
