The Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors will take to the field at SoFi Stadium on August 7 to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The event program will honor beloved Los Angeles Rams player Andrew Whitworth with the Visionary Award, and Nick Jonas will take the stage. The event will also include an on-field experience for the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams with family activities, followed by dinner, tribute performance, live auction and music.
“I am truly honored to be recognized by Cedars-Sinai for my philanthropy and commitment to my beloved Los Angeles community”, said Whitworth, Walter Payton’s Hombre del Año de la NFL, who announced his retirement after winning the Super Bowl in March. 16 years in the league. “I look forward to celebrating with my family and fans next month.”

The Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors, established by the Board of Directors in 1971, is a collective community of philanthropic leaders that serves as the primary leadership and fundraising group for Cedars-Sinai. Sponsored by the Los Angeles Rams and City National Bank, the event celebrates the council’s legacy of supporting the hospital’s clinical, research and community outreach programs. WME partner and RWQuarantunes Guru Richard Weitz is the honorary chairman of the event, with Liz Gotheiner and Danny Zoller serving as co-chairs of the event.
Also at the event, the Cedars-Sinai Legend Award, presented to City National Bank, will be presented to past and current leaders of the Board of Governors. Proceeds from the event benefit the Innovation Center, which brings together Cedars-Sinai researchers and clinicians to develop early detection protocols and therapies to improve health outcomes for diseases of the brain, heart, lung and gastrointestinal system.
