Still at 12 years old, Millie Bobby Brown became famous for his work in the series Stranger Thingswhere the character lives Eleven (Eleven). From then on, she saw her career take off: she continued playing the protagonist while getting involved with other prominent productions.

This does not mean, however, that acting is his only interest. Millie has already revealed that there is another segment, not linked to art, that she would like to work in — to the point that it would be her possible choice if she had given up her current area.

In a 2023 interview with BBC Radio 4 (via NME), while promoting his first book, Nineteen Steps — based on her own family’s story —, the young woman revealed her desire to work as a caregiver for the elderly if she had not become an actress. Millie stated:

A big passion of mine, if I hadn’t followed the route I do, would have been working in a nursing home. I love the history of older people and the stories they tell, even if they are made up, and sometimes they are. But I hope that after you read (the book), you go out and talk to your grandparents or parents and ask them their family history.”

One of the actress’s inspirations for writing the work was her own grandmother, Ruthwho passed away in November 2020 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Due to the proximity, Millie revealed that it was not easy to develop the book.

Writing this book was a little scary because it was a very personal read for myself.”

Millie Bobby Brown’s career

Millie Bobby Brown began her career at just 9 years old, making a guest appearance on the series Once Upon a Time in Wonderlandspin-off of Once Upon a Time. He then made brief appearances in series such as NCIS, ModernFamily and Grey’s Anatomy.

In 2016, the actress was chosen to play Eleven/Eleven in Stranger Thingsone of Netflix’s most successful original series. It received nominations for several awards and reached another level of popularity.

In addition to continuing in the role of Eleven, she has recorded successful films in recent years. Among the main titles are: Godzilla II: King of the Monsters(2019), Enola Holmes(2020) and its sequel, Godzilla vs Kong(2021) and Maiden(2024). He also participated in music videos for Maroon 5 (“Girls Like You”) and Drake (“In My Feelings”).
