Apocalypse ZManel Loureiro’s best-seller adapted into a film
Prime Video will offer a new zombie movie very soon: Apocalypse Z. The feature film will be set in Spain following the outbreak of a virus that is rapidly spreading across the world. The plot will make us follow Manel, a man who lives alone with his cat Lúculoand who will have to demonstrate ingenuity to stay alive in the face of the threat posed by the virus. Soon he and Lúculo will have to leave their home and embark a dangerous journey.
Apocalypse Z East adapted from the book of the same name written by Manel Loureiro. Published in 2014, the novel quickly became popular a bestseller. Many fans may therefore be waiting for the film’s release on Prime Video. However, this is revealed in a trailer ahead of its upcoming release.
Manel fights for survival in the trailer
The trailer ofApocalypse Z It starts off great with Manel’s character being chased by a group of rabid zombies. We then learn that the government is trying to implement “safe spaces” to protect the population from the threat of the virus. But things get out of hand quickly and Manel finds himself at the center of many scenes where he has to fight for his survival.
Apocalypse Z it was directed by Carles Torrens. Francisco Ortiz was chosen to play Manel. Together with him, Berta Vázquez, Iria del Río, José María Yazpik and María Salgueiro got some of the supporting roles in the film.
The film available for Halloween
Prime Video subscribers eager to discover Apocalypse Z we won’t have to wait very long for that. Because the platform decided to propose the feature film for Halloween. The film will then be visible from this Thursday 31 October.
Apocalypse Z could be the first film of a trilogy. Because Manel Loureiro divided his story into three novels. If the first feature is successful, Prime Video should quickly start development on the sequel.
