Days after launch Park Maniacfeature film starring Silvero Pereira (Nightjar), Prime Video addresses the case of Francisco de Assis Pereiraknown by his nickname for attacking and killing women in the 1990s, in a new documentary series, Park Maniac: The Untold Storywhich premieres this Friday, November 1st. But what to expect from the news?

Unlike the film, which explored the case through the fictional character of Giovanna Grigio (The Five), Park Maniac: The Untold Story focuses entirely on the stories of the victims of Park Maniac.

Written and directed by the journalist Thais Nuneswho also worked on the film, the documentary series revisits the crimes from the perspective of survivors and the families of women murdered by the serial killer.

The new feature, which has four episodes, was created based on the examination of more than 20,000 pages of the criminal case and interviews with more than 50 people. Park Maniac: The Untold Story still promises to bring surprising revelations and never-before-seen audio from the serial killer. Watch the trailer:

What is the story of Park Maniac?

Park Maniac tells the story of Elena (Giovanna Grigio), a beginning reporter, who sees investigating the crimes committed by the maniac as a chance to advance her career. As the serial killer’s fame increases, he continues to claim new victims and create a climate of terror in the capital of São Paulo.
