The Fantastic Four reveals the synopsis
We know this from an announcement made at Comic Con in July 2019a new movie The Fantastic Four is in preparation. Since then, we’ve had few details about the film. But Marvel just shared important information by revealing its official synopsis. This tells us that the film will be set in “a retro-futuristic world inspired by the 60s”.
The synopsis also states that the Fantastic Four will have to face each other “their most formidable challenge”. As they try to maintain the bond formed by their family, they will have to “defend Earth from a hungry space god called Galactus and his enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer”. In addition to having the difficult task of having to prevent Galactus from devouring the entire planet, the four heroes will be engaged in a fight that will become “suddenly very personal”.
A film outside the MCU timeline
It is not yet clear what this is about The Fantastic Four evoking a fight “very personal” for heroes. It undoubtedly will beone of the main plot points of the film. Meanwhile this aspect of the story is presented to us in a mysterious and intriguing way.
Recall that, last June, Kevin Feige made another revelation about the film directed by Matt Shakman. He had explained it The Fantastic Four would have taken place outside of the main MCU timeline. It should therefore be a story apart in the world of feature films proposed by Maison des Idées.
Filming will end soon
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will wear The Fantastic Four. They will play Reed Richads, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm respectively. The quartet will be accompanied by Ralph Ineson and Julia Garner, the interpreters of Galactus and the Silver Surfer.
The Fantastic Four they started filming last July. Recently, Joseph Quinn revealed during an interview with Variety That Filming is expected to finish towards the end of November. Marvel has set the date July 23, 2025 for the release of the feature film in France at the cinema.
