Olivia Colman, Luke Evans, Jesse Buckley and Johnny Flynn Join the Voice Cast of Netflix’s ‘Scrooge: A Christmas Carol’

Netflix has revealed an impressive list of stars who will be lending their voices to its upcoming animated feature. Scrooge: A Christmas Carol From director Stephen Donnelly and Timeless Films.

Joining the film are Luke Evans (voice of Scrooge), Olivia Colman (The Past), Jesse Buckley (Isabel Fezziwig) and Johnny Flynn (Bob Cratchit), Fra Phi (Harry Huffam), Gil Terrera (Tom Jenkins), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Present), James Cosmo (Mr. Fezziwig) and Jonathan Pryce (Jacob Marley).

Debuting on Netflix in December, the CG animation gives the Charles Dickens classic a musical interpretation, with reimagined songs by Oscar and Grammy winner Leslie Bricus (dolittle doctor, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Superman, alone at home).

The film is produced by Timeless Films in association with Axis Studios, with production by Ralph Kemp, Andrew Pearce and Bricus. Rebecca Kemp and Garrett Kemp will co-produce.

“It was a fascinating challenge to adapt a story so loved and told so much,” said Donnelly. “I think this version will give those who know Christmas Carol Everything they expect, but not like what they’ve experienced before. There are more than enough psychedelic, time-travel and musical surprises to keep history buffs on the edge of their seats, preserving the authentic Dickensian essence for those completely new to the classic tale.
