Steven Knight stated that the film does not end the series’ story
Steve Knight guaranteed that Peaky Blinders did not come to an end.
In an interview with the British radio station Times Radio (via DailyMail) last week, the creator of the series was asked about the release date of the film that continues the program, The Immortal Manto which he responded, “It’s a little early for that, but, you know, you can imagine it will be in about a year.”
Knight he was also asked about the possibility of the film being followed by new productions. “Well, it’s interesting to ask that question, because the film is about to be released, and this won’t be the end,” he revealed.
The interviewer also asked: “More series then?”
“It won’t be the end, I’ll put it that way. I’m not saying anything like that”, he confessed Knight.

Netflix announced, on December 19th, the end of filming for the film Peaky Blinderswhich will continue the story presented in the series aired between 2013 and 2022. The news was accompanied by an unprecedented image of Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer), which returns as Tommy Shelbyand the newbie Barry Keoghan (Saltburn).

In addition to starring in the film, Cillian Murphy is also producer of the film Peaky Blinderswhile Tom Harperwho has already directed episodes of the series, is responsible for directing the new feature. With Keoghan, Tim Rothfrom The Incredible Hulk (2008) and She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes (2022), and Rebecca Fergusonfrom Dune (2021) and Dune: Part 2 (2024), are also part of the cast.
