Streamland Media, the post-production giant that bought Technicolor Post and Sim Post in 2021, continues to grow with its acquisition of US and Canada-based visual effects company Ingenuity Studios. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Ingenuity Studios is headquartered in Los Angeles and also has offices in New York, Vancouver and Atlanta, increasing Streamland’s presence in those cities. Streamland’s global portfolio includes Ghost VFX, Picture Shop’s publishing business; Grupo Formosa Sound and Image Company Responsible for the Marketing Division.
Ingenuity Studios provides visual effects for feature films, episodic series, music videos and commercials. He contributed to plays including The Many Saints of Newark, Hacks, The Walking Dead s paper girls.
Trive Capital and Five Crowns Capital supported the deal. In 2021, the two companies also supported Streamland’s acquisition of Technicolor Post for $36.5 million, as well as Sim Post for an undisclosed amount. “Streamland and Trive are strategically acquiring industry-leading businesses focused on unparalleled creative talent and integrated into a single global platform to continually enhance the value proposition we deliver to our clients,” said David Stinnett, partner at Trive Capital, in a statement. . “Additionally, as visual effects services become increasingly important to post-production, we look forward to building on Ingenuity’s stellar reputation as we continue to deliver cutting-edge visual effects work.”
Details of Streamland’s plans were limited at the time of publication.
