Marvel Cinematic Universe fans had a lot to celebrate last month. The franchise put on a real show during its panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, with four new projects revealed, new release dates announced, and exclusive images from several upcoming films. It’s almost overwhelming the amount of news confirmed at the event, so it’s pretty crazy to realize that we’re now probably weeks away from other news from September’s D23 Expo 2022.
Speculation about Marvel’s announcements at the Disney-focused event isn’t exactly new, and fans have been curious about what’s coming from the convention for months, but the novelty is a description of what’s to come, what to expect from the franchise during its planned Hall D23. . Presentation. Disney sent out a press release today explaining what to expect, and the verbiage used raised our expectations for the big revelations:
As previously announced, Marvel Studios directors, celebrities and surprise guests will join Lucasfilm and others on the stage in Hall D23 to showcase the film and Disney + titles. Going behind the scenes of the highly anticipated films, specials and series from these studios, attendees will see exclusive footage and be among the first to know what’s to come.
It is the last piece in particular that sends sparks into the mind of someone like Tony Stark using a welding torch.
Let’s talk about “exclusive images” first. At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios unveiled a slew of new trailers, including the latest trailer for She-Hulk: lawyerour first look Black Panther: Wakanda forevera Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania coil and an advantage of guardians of the galaxy vol. 3. All of this could be back on the big screen at D23 Expo 2023 … but it won’t be called “exclusive”.

Then there’s the whole “before you know what’s going on” part. Thanks to the Hall H panel in July, all of Marvel’s Phase 5 has been officially planned, with new titles announced and scheduled, including Spade, Captain America: New World Order Yes Ray. We also know that phase 6 will start with Fantastic Four in November 2024, and will end with two Avengers blockbuster film – Avengers: Kang dynasty Yes Avengers: Secret War – but we don’t know any of the projects (whether for the big screen or for Disney +). Could the D23 Expo be the event that fills all the gaps we currently know in the Marvel Cinematic Universe program?
